Keratin Fusion Hair Extensions
Pre-bonded I, U, V & Flat TIPS are small sections of hair with keratin glue hardened onto their ends.
With this technique, I, U, V & Flat TIPS are bonded to individual strands of your natural hair to achieve a truly authentic look. Bonded hair can be washed and styled (using products like gels and mousse) just like natural hair but care should be taken or bonds may loosen up and extensions may fall off. Applying I, U, V & Flat TIPS is one of the most time intensive (requiring 2 to 3 hours) and expensive methods . I, U, V & Flat TIPS are applied using a heating appliance to literally “melt” the glue of the extension TIPS and fixing it to individual strand ends of the client’s natural hair.
Depending on the desired style, a half head of fused hair could take about 20 sections while a full head could take about 50 sections. This technique is not without risks as potential hair loss and skin burning from the appliance may occur if applied improperly. Recently cold fusion extensions have been introduced that do not require any heating elements (but instead rely on ultrasonic vibration to melt the glue). I, U, V & Flat TIPS can be reused if properly done.
I, U, V & Flat TIPS extensions can also be used with micro beads/rings which are clamped to hold the hair strands. This method keeps the hair in place for long time without any slippage issues. Also this is a very clean technique where no glue, no chemicals and no heat involved.
